Blank slate. Empty page,Open road, pavement crumbles with eachroll of my tires, each step of my feet. My mother ceased to existwhen I left home, I forgot myself, left somewherein the grocery aisles ofmy childhood. What happens whenI tryto go back? About Me
My name is Matthew M. Chamberlain. I am a queer and nonbinary author who uses He/They pronouns. Born in 1996, I’ve seen the world shift, change, blow up and settle. My work is how I’ve grounded myself from harm and found the love of the world, all over again, every time I put words to page.
Most of my work is based in the genres of fantasy, fiction, short stories and poetry. I’ve submitted personal essays to places like Black Dogs, Black Tales, and The Audacity. I’ve also done written commissions in Fandom and original work spaces. I’m also writing a memoir titled All of Our Heads, a story told by my journal entries as I learn to live with DID and the enormity of PTSD so terrible, I assumed I was schizophrenic for over a decade.
You can find a list of my works down below. If you’d like to read some of my work, you can click here.
I frequent writing communities on platforms such as Discord, Twitter, and Tumblr. My contacts for each of those will be down below.

Genres
Fantasy and Fiction
Anything including nonhumans, magical realms, alternate realities and expansive universes have always drawn me in as a kid and now that is primarily what I write and produce. Having created a fictional universe out of which anthologies and series have birthed from, I have an endless supply of creative and fun storylines to explore.
Short Stories
Most of my short stories are nonfiction poetry and personal essays that delve into my mental health and the realities I experience. Following dreams, delusions, magical thinking and hopeful moments, every short story has a question to answer about myself and the world around me.
Poetry
I have a large collection of poetry that ranges from flash poetry, flow of thought, themed anthologies and plans to create an epic. Poetry is the go-to and is a special form of my writing that I’m constantly experimenting with, such as incorporating multi media.
